As we approach Veterans Day, we're reminded of the sacrifices the members of our military have made to protect our freedom. This year, we're giving something back.
This coming Monday, November 12, we're launching Scholarships for Veterans and Their Families. Gary Martin Hays & Associates is teaming up with The Bert Show to give away $1,000 scholarships to five lucky veterans and their families.
All contestants have to do is go to thebertshow.com or Q100.com and submit their story of why they or their family member deserves or needs the scholarship. We're looking for any student with a family tie to the military: veterans going back to school, veterans' children going to college, and so on.
Submissions must be sent by Wednesday, November 21. One scholarship per day will be awarded during the week of Monday, November 26. The $1,000 check will be sent to the recipient's school of choice.
